1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Proud to Be Indian ("PTBI"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.

2. Nature of the Platform

PTBI is a civic information and community discussion platform. PTBI is NOT a court, government authority, police agency, investigative agency, ombudsman, or official corruption database.

• Reports on PTBI are user-submitted allegations.
• PTBI does not determine whether an allegation is legally true.
• Use of PTBI does not replace filing an official police report, FIR, or grievance with a competent authority.

3. User-Generated Content & Licensing

You retain ownership of the content you submit to PTBI. However, by submitting content, you grant PTBI the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, moderate, display, and distribute that content through the platform.

You represent and warrant that your submissions are based on your genuine experiences and that you have the right to share any attached evidence without violating third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use PTBI to:

• Submit malicious, entirely fabricated, or intentionally false allegations.
• Engage in harassment, doxxing, threats, blackmail, or extortion.
• Publish unnecessary private credentials (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, bank details).
• Impersonate any person or government official.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or coordinated networks to manipulate report counts, upvotes, or analytics.

5. Platform Moderation

PTBI reserves the right (but assumes no obligation) to review, redact, suspend, or remove any content or account that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We utilize both human moderators and AI-assisted moderation to enforce these rules.

Publication of a report does not imply PTBI endorses or verifies the content, unless explicitly marked with a "Verified" badge following independent review.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, PTBI, its operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the platform.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the platform, including defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other users.
• Any reliance on the accuracy of user-submitted reports or aggregated data visualizations.
