Why PTBI Exists

Everyday interactions with public services and institutions can shape a citizen's experience of government and society.

Sometimes that experience involves unnecessary demands, unfair treatment, delays or suspected corruption. Sometimes it involves an official or employee who goes out of their way to help.

PTBI exists to give citizens a structured place to document those experiences and recognize positive conduct. The objective is not to declare guilt or innocence. The objective is to make citizen experiences more visible, structured and useful.

Independent Civic Platform

Proud to Be Indian is an independent, community-powered civic information platform. PTBI is not a government department, government authority, police agency, court or statutory body.

How the Platform Works
