How to write a strong report

thumb_down WEAK

"That officer is corrupt and always steals money."

thumb_up BETTER

"On 14 August, I visited the office to submit my application. I was told that the application could only be processed after an unofficial payment of ₹500."

Why the second version is better:

  • It describes a specific experience.
  • It provides context (date and situation).
  • It distinguishes observation from a sweeping conclusion.
  • It gives moderators and the community something concrete to review.

Don't turn PTBI into a courtroom.

PTBI is a platform for documenting experiences, not declaring guilt. Treat this platform as a civic diary and a pattern-recognition tool. Allow the patterns to speak for themselves rather than using the platform to prosecute individuals.
